The heat is on.

The heat is on.

Just when I thought last summer was hot, along comes this summer.

Years ago we used to get the odd day in the 40's, but the last two, we have been getting 3-4 days in a row.

How can anyone say they like Summer, when it's too hot to go outside? Not nice being a ball of sweat all the time.

Bush fires all over the place, luckily so far none in the Blue Mountains where I live.

Still a long way off before it starts cooling down. Roll on the cooler months, it can't come quick enough.

Too hot for me. Mind you, anything over about 25 degrees C is too hot for me.

But, don't need to worry about that for a wee while yet - forecast is for -15 C in parts of the Highlands tonight.

It's a piece of cake we had a hundred and nineteen degrees last year in summer time. Here in Aridzona. We huddled around the air conditioning vent wondering whether or not the sun tea is ready.

Using more than all the road!

My tea was burnt

When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

Yikes! Hope it cools down for you soon...and the fires stay away! Those can be so scary. Stay safe!

An approx. conversion for one day here...120. Was even hotter in other places. I only put my aircon on when I can't stand it any longer, due to it being the old style that chews up the power. Have ceiling fan on until then.

A few days in a row, is just unbearable, only to come back over and over.

Who drinks tea in those temps?

Won't cool down for quite a while yet.

I have a fire page that keeps me informed where new fires break out. So far so good. Don't want a repeat of the 2013 fires where friends and a lot of people I know lost their homes.

Thanks for popping in.

Oh how I long for the cooler months. It never gets too cold here for me, but a lot of people complain how cold it is. Maybe further up the mountain, but not here.

We can have some incredibly hot summers here. This last one wasn't bad but back in 2010 and 2011 we had record high temps of 110 to 115 for more than 100 days in a row. Lots of fires as well. Devastated the crops and killed a lot of livestock. I'm not a fan of summer.

OMG so many days in a row. How did you cope?

You do have to feel sorry for the livestock. I get a lot of parrots and other birds in my garden. I make sure there is plenty of water for them to drink.

OMG that is hot. I would hate that. I am so glad I live somewhere that is never too hot or too cold. We could do with less rain mind you.

Sometimes when it rains here, it forgets to stop. but at the moment I would love for it to rain to put out the bushfires. Those men and women that give up their time and face the dangers are worth their weight in gold.

That is the yet another big plus of living at the beach - when it gets too hot the onshore wind comes up & cools it. Sun, surf, sand, wearing very little & better still - all the women wearing very little!

I certainly don't need to be on here & most of my relationships or encounters happen outside this site but I enjoy the connections I make here & the blogs & some perving of course. Some of these connections here can & do eventually become real meets too!

The site's pretty crap at times, but I have made some wonderful friends. So I'll hang round for a while.

Thanks for popping in.

This was defiantly hotter. We had so many days in a row of 40+

At least before we still had the heat, but not so many days in a row without letting up.
