Those are your perceived hard and fast rules. It is more practical if the distance is minimal for sure. And provided the parties involved are clear of their expectations and are truely committed to the romance and act accordongly when faced with temptation, trust should not be an issue until theres reason to mistrust. Long distance can serve to keep things fresh. Absence makes the heart grow fonder you kmow

Back when I was actively looking, I never strayed beyond 45 or so miles from me. I considered people further from me but when it came down to it, when I wanted to get laid, I wanted it close by. At the same time, I haunted the blogs, blogging my heart out, showing off, teasing, making blog friends. It was there that I met someone...almost 1000 miles away from me. We've both been broken before so we realize the need for trust that the other isn't going to hurt us.

I drove 700 miles one way to meet someone. Distance is a problem, but it is a problem that can be overcome if there is a relationship to be had.
