The image reminds me of the movie poster for "Gattaca.," i.e. futuristic flick starring Ethan, Uma and Jude. Sharp suits, slick hair, etc.

My reactions is similar. They've turned their campaign into brand advertising. They're selling an image and hoping it resonates.

I don't like Hillary but i really don't like Trump. I don't have any doubt that Hillary will do more good things in office for the country and people then Trump could or would do in a life time. People were fools to say that Bernie couldn't get elected and then go vote for Hillary but that was all part of the process that the media and the Clinton campaign played. What is really sad is that the people were so foolish as to believe it in the first place. What has happened to the reasoning ability of the general public that they just do what ever the their favorite talking head says without thinking for themselves?

US elections are decided by Independent voters, individuals with no party affiliation. Self-identified Republicans, 25%, and Democrats, 38%, represent only 63% of likely voters *, so neither party can win without a little help.

While no one can accurately predict how Independents will split their votes, if it matches the last Preisdential Election, 55/45 in favor of Republicans**, the Democrats will retain the Presidency.

So is Trump more popular with Independents than Romney? Does his "outsider" message resonate with the majority of voters? Or does his temperament, inexperience and rhetoric push more Independents to Hillary?

Also, Romney won only 31% of single women votes, 27% of Hispanic, 26% of Asian and 6% of African American. Again, will Trump fare better with these voters than Romney? Your guess is as good as mine.

Ah, cheers for that McShore.

From the outside in, having witnessed the disenfranchised popular vote going to Farage and his like in favour of Brexit, I'm more than a little concerned that the same thing will happen for Trump, that people will see it as an opportunity to give the establishment the finger, rather than see it for what it really is.

And the fallout from it all over here is quite appalling. Only two days ago a Polish man was beaten to death by three youths who took exception to him speaking in his native tongue.

I am afraid, very much so...........

McShore You're welcome.

I know there are similarities between our election and the Brexit vote but our media coverage tends to exaggerate its impact on everyday life. Most Americans vote their financial self interests and prefer stability. Protesting the establishment is important to some but it's not all-consuming as reports suggest.

Horrible to hear about the fallout there.
