Love that song, and agree about Rolling Stones magazine. Too much fashion and pop culture, not enough substance.

While our kids were in the midst of their musical education (at early ages), we made sure we played plenty of Bob Marley, Bunny And the Wailers, The Rolling Stones, Jimmy Buffet (great kid music... except when you have to explain "Let's get drunk and screw" to them). We realized when they were 9 & 10 we had neglected to play much Beatles, so we got a couple of Cds and played them on our longer trips.
Nope, we had started them off as Rolling Stone fans and they weren't going to switch to the Beatles for us. Not that we were really trying...

Fun to think back on that...

My mom has always had the hots for Mick Jagger, which I will never understand. lol. i am not the biggest Stones fan, or the biggest Beatles fan either, but I do like some of their stuff.

yesh, rolling stone mag became a giant ad machine

and that song will forever be part of my memory chain. I remember when the stones hit and the beatles v stones battle began. all the moms who were scared of the beatles suddenly saying how sweet they were.....snork

god I loved the stones.
