To The End of Day
Tie me to the end of the day
Drag me down with dusk
As birds fall silent and workers turn
For the known pleasures of home
I will be eagerly greeting night
And more eagerly greeting you
Our kisses meet as light fades
As close as horizon and starlight
Blending together in sharp explosion
Of last rays of the day
And you are the Moon bright
And I am the dark of night
