The Pussy Epilogue or Why Do I Even Try?

This is the follow up, to my previous post "Call Me Slut".

I went back to that neighbors house. I know the lady that lives there. She's a tall blonde, glasses, slight over-bite, kinda cute, and she's really tall. Married, two boys. We've talked a few times, always acknowledge each other in public places. Her name is Tracy.

I knock on the door and out comes a shorter version of Tracy. I've never seen this woman before, must be her sister. She's in mid-conversation with someone on her phone. I tell her I found this kitten in the driveway by the street. She just puts her hand up and shakes her head side to side. Walking right past me I hear her say, "Well, is it even gonna matter now that he's touched her?" She turns to me and says, "If you want, you can leave it on the side of the house." I tell her I'd rather not leave it on the side of the house. Apparently, frustrated that I'm still breathing, she takes the kitten out of my hand and starts walking towards the door. As she's walking away I tell her, "I'm sorry I rang your doorbell at 8 this morning". Without even turning she says that it's OK.

I leave, realizing 2 things: (1) there are women in this world that I can annoy the shit out of without even being married to them for 20 yrs, and (2) I have cat cooties. I never wanted or expected any gratitude, but I did think I'd be leaving with a good feeling that I'd helped reunite the kitten with it's owner. Instead all I had was an overwhelming feeling of "Why do I even try?".

Please keep being the "nice guy". We need more of them - especially now.

Some people have made it their life's mission to be miserable - she could be one of them.

A cat being safe is important. Most would of ignored her/him. Could of been hurt or killed. To many uncaring people in this world when it comes to animals.

Humans are the most dangerous animals on earth.

If only animals had the ability to know when to keep away from us humans they would be better off.

I am not sure I would want to leave him with her. She sounds like an uncaring ........what’s that word? Rhymes with witch. Poor baby, hope he will be okay.

Perhaps a 75 pound Pit Bull on a leash might stir interest???

You did the right thing!

And finally there's the one about the man who took his pet gorilla to the veterinarian and the vet said ,"sure is small for a gorilla !"

That's funny that's what my friends say about my wife the man replied

Using more than all the road!

You're gonna hate me but . . . you probably need to rescue the kitten from "Tracy" or whomever that was. You know that isn't a good place for it. The girls will have to take responsibility for . . . Fuzzy (it has a name now).

When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

She seemed to be intent in spreading her "mission".

I know the lady that lives there certainly cares about cats, this wasn't her.

I didn't want to leave it, and I sure wasn't going to leave it on the side of the house. That's just crazy.

It didn't feel right leaving it with her, but I'm sure the momma must be around there.

I think your right, I'm not feeling all warm and fuzzy about the way this went down.

He's right, I shoulda just put my hand up in her face and left. I know you don't touch baby birds, but I never heard about NOT touching kittens. But, I may have special cooties, I can repel women just by knocking on their doors.

I'm not even sure that the statement ""Well, is it even gonna matter now that he's touched her?"" was in reference to you and the kitten. There may have been some other family drama going on and that was why she brushed you off?

At any rate I agree with the others, it would be nice if you could follow up with lady who you actually know and are cordial with, to see what's up. And if they don't want the kitten it's not like YOU have to adopt it - you could take it to a rescue organization.

I am planning on checking with Tracy to see if the poor thing is alright.

You gave your pussy to some woman who said to just leave it at the side of the house? Hopefully that won't come back to haunt you.
I think Red's right. Fuzzy may be in need of a second rescue. I'm not a fan of cats, but that's just wrong the way they were treating it.

I've had cats, I had "Cheese". She was the feral tortoise shell I found at my shop. I tried to relocate her to my house and she freaked and ran away. She had to be the center of attention, always.

I thought the best thing for the kitten was to be with her mother, even if the people that owned the mother cat are rude.
