 It takes a LOT of trust, and jealousy can get in the way sometime. We've both allowed the other to play. It can be very fun!!

Having been involved in the same types of relationships with friends ( nothing like the long term as those I assume in the show are looking for) I've run into the green eyed monster on a few occasions. Men flipping out when your with their wife, or the reverse when they woman's freaking out when your with her husband, or one of the ladies using the situation to have some fun with the other woman. It gets complicated at times. I'm thinking that the reason for sister wives thing has to do more so with economic reasons more so than anything else. Thanks for posting.

Yes, an occasional romp with friends can be very fun. But my feeling is if it's a day to day life long arrangement would be very taxing on all concerned.

 I think the first thing to remember is that show, and the others like them, are for entertainment purposes. Also, to make money. The more drama there is and the more cliffhangers there are, the more money is made. In a successful real life triad there's a whole lot of honest communication (boring for tv viewers) a lot of scheduling (boring for tv viewers) and a lot less sex than one would think (really boring for tv viewers.) Much like the blogs, dysfunctional screeching brings in more eyeballs than normal healthy communication.
