A word to contacts writing me, introduce yourself first. You do not have to use real names,it is more about making the right impression. For those that are wary of giving their real names to strangers, that's understandable, just use pseudo names for starters and if things get to a stage where you are actually meeting, you can then choose to give your names if you feel necessary.
Otherwise your approach can appear condescending and even disrespectful.Treat your emails as if you you are walking up to someone in person, the first thing you usually do is introduce yourself if you want to make a good impression.
A simple "Hello,my (or our) name(s) is..." and THEN go into what your interests are, will assure at least your email will be read.
I make a point of always introducing myself in emails regardless of what I am writing about for that reason. One would think this would go without mentioning but you would be surprised how some contacts on here show their true sides without realizing how they make themselves look to the very contacts they are interested in.
I read profiles of contacts complaining so much about emails not being replied to or contacts that flake on them suddenly.A way to weed these elements out is simply observing how people carry themselves and present themselves towards others. These two characteristics often go hand in hand when determining the good contacts from the bad.
Now keep in mind this is just my opinion based on my years of experiences in the Lifestyle. It works for me,as you can see in the Testimonials and network photos as well as the video clips
