It's been a while and I'm sorry I haven't posted more thought provoking material.
Got all moved in, still at the unpacking stage, life is making that go slowly right now. We both feel beat up from this move ... Longest I've ever felt whooped. Rain storms just won't stay away long enough for work to get out of emergency go go go mode and back to normal, which causes workers to call in just to recover ... making it more difficult on everyone else. I can't bitch about that, I did enough of that last year.
My arm had been hurt ... still is, the medicine I was taking for it dehydrates my body pretty heavily, but has been very helpful, about out of the medicine. Last weekend I went without any, and it started aching pretty bad. Got sting by a bee yesterday, swelling up and feeling tender, yuck.

Just so tired, sore, and flat out exhausted ... enjoying the new place though school will be starting soon, excited but not feeling quite ready though.

Guess that's the main stuff at the moment.

Rock garden or Stone crop?

This is one of our most successful plants. It's called Stonecrop, we planted it in the middle of our ' rock garden (a large collection of different types of rocks and crystals) and the darn thing took off, spreading to other plant pots! We moved the main plant with us to the new place, it's not doing as well though

It blooms these pretty white flowers. I still enjoy it a lot, even through all these years we've had it. And to think, there is about four inches of rock above the actual soil ... Can't see hardly any of the rock garden anymore. Lol.

I think this would make a good ground cover for a shaded flower bed, do you agree? Or have a better suggestion?

My department has been rushing all over town getting dangerous limbs and trees, before we can finish cleaning up from one wind storm, another wind storm blows through. I am so exhausted. My injured arm is healing nicely, though the workman comp doctor just told me to use it fully and get used to any pain ... 9 day wait for a service person to come out and allow internet to our new place. Or move is almost done, but still have a lot to put away. Life! Yay! Bleah!

I'm glad this small tree was sturdy enough to support that pole, as dangerous as this logs, it would be MUCH worse if the pole fully fell down snapping those power lines.

How is life treating you right now? A Yay? A Bleah? A tall cool drink of lemonade? A work plodding on? A smores just sitting around waiting for a sweet surprise? Let me know! be creative or crazy

I spent twenty minutes writing out a post, only to have my phone seize up and delete everything as I was signing the end of it. That was last friday. Just now (yes Wed) I felt good enough to try again on this POS phone ... I spend thirty minutes writing the post again, send it, phone loses internet for ten seconds and deletes / loses the entire post ... AGAIN!!!

I'm done for tonight, my arm is killing me now.

Technology ever make you want to "fix" it with some tool ... Like a sledgehammer?

This is our spike plant, not sure what kind of spike plant, but I know it had spike in the name.
Anyway, we got it two years ago. I kind of like the green spikes it grows, but then it flowers out such lovely orange flowers.

I just got signed up for my first classes for my Bachelors degree. I finished actually getting my Associates degree, getting Fin. Aid, all that good stuff. Now I just have to take my orientation class and get my books.

Still nothing on the new jobs (the latest set of applications, the first two sets were answered with nothing but rejections, but maybe something good from this set), and nothing more from the apartment, we've jumped through all their crazy hoops, just up to them to approve / deny our paperwork.

I hate having deadlines for a company and having that company tell me to just wait for them to approve / send / tranfer something.

Ever feel rushed and hurried by a company that is also telling you to wait and be patient for it to send you the urgent documents?

I don't think I'll ever tire of this view. Simply beautiful!

This is not my backyard, rather, a view I have been enjoying till the move.

I would like to create a backyard similar, though the pond is a lot of effort, so I don't think that will be in the cards.

Would you want a backyard view like this?

Ring Ring! It's the government ... they want you!

I was in the middle of working today when my phone buzzed with a message. I glanced at it, some non-local number, I figured it was just another spam text. When I had some time, I looked at it, mainly to delete it. It was an "army recruiter" asking if I had thought about what the armed forces could do for me ... Say what?!? I figured it was a scam artist sending texts to every number from a computer, and using the guise of the armed forces??? THAT pissed me off. I sent a belligerent response asking if they even knew who they were texting.

30 minutes later I got a response. The recruiter actually gave my first and last name and my home address, then chided me for being belligerent. THAT shocked the shit out of me. I confirmed that it was actually an army recruiter by looking up the number the original text asked me to use ... Yep - army recruiter. I apologized and explained my initial anger. I also confirmed that I was older than they wanted. I had interest in the Navy out of high school and did a bit of testing before not going, so I knew of obstacles to join already.

Here's the thing that scared me from this text. They should've answered my questions wrong. My phone's plan is my sister-in-law's. Caller ID and phone books have her name listed, her address. The ONLY company that has my street address, my name, all the other info he gave me, yet her age ... Is the phone company's private records.

The Army got my number (and all the other info) from my phone company's private records. If the Army could get that, all the other government agencies can also. Our government has acknowledged tapping into it's own citizen's phone calls. Apparentely they also have access to the phone accounts. If they are watching me (worthless as I don't do much more than work) how many other worthless citizens are they watching???

It's not 1984, but I'm starting to feel the ever present eye of big brother watching ...
Happy 4th of July ... I'm celebrating to honor our armed forces, current, former, and those that paid the ultimate price.
The government can watch my middle finger right now.

And a quick shout out to JA! Thanks for showing me how to get back to the trending page!

[SIZE4] I am still soo tired. I took a mini vacation, and practically slept the entire time. I had sooooo many plans, but I slept, still had an awesome time though.
I keep telling myself I'll write a post or message a friend. Yet I sit and state at my phone.

Once the move happens and I can go to a place I can call home, sleep in my bed comfortably, play my games and recharge my batteries, then I should be back to myself.

I challenge you, the next time you find yourself sitting around doing nothing but wasting time, do something constructive ... Clean, organize, research something on-line. It doesn't matter to me, just turn some unconstructive time into something constructive.

When it's hot ...

I used to not mind the heat. I used to go canoeing or fishing when it was hot, I used to go running when it was hot. I used to travel down to Texas to escape the intense Kansas heat ... I used to dress up in barbarian furs for outside theatrics in Texas, in the summer.

Kansas gets hotter than Texas in the summer, and colder than Boston in the winter, just not for as long.

I used to pride myself on being able to cope with extreme temperatures. My inner core burns hot. When it's 14 degrees below zero, and I shuck off my coat to work in a thin T-shirt because I sweat otherwise ... In college, I used to wear shorts, walking through snow drifts going from class to class.

I used to jog in the hot summers, canoe all over nearby lakes, build bonfires. As long as I had drinking water, I was good.

Then I got heat stroke down on a Texas campsite, barely managed to recognize the on-set of heat stroke and inform people what to do so I could save myself before my brain turned into jelly.
I got a second case of heat stroke at work ... for being a wimp about the heat and saying that I could no longer handle it ... again, recognized the on-set of it and saved myself before I lost the mental ability to do anything.
I can no longer handle heat. My body has survived giving up to die twice now, and it believes it will survive by giving up. Survivors of heat stroke are MUCH more likely to have heat stroke again. I am watching myself closely, I do not want to suffer it again.

No AC in a house that excels in holding heat, working outside by removing shade. We're surviving by spending some hours in the car AC, visiting family ...

God I can't wait for all the new place's paperwork to finish so we can move in.
First thing I will do is breathe in directly from the AC vent.
'Cause ... This heat ... It's killing me ...

At lunch, I stopped by a grocery store for a cheap lunch. While waiting to check out, I saw a gorgeous woman checking out in front of me. She just looked sexy! I don't think she viewed herself as hot, as she didn't do anything or dress to enhance her natural sexiness. She WAS hot, and I eye fucked her for a few minutes. While I was leaving the store, I saw her in the parking lot pushing a cart with a young boy, taking her groceries to her car. I figured I'd compliment her, make her feel good

Before I got near her, I heard someone shouting at her to hurry up as gas isn't cheap. - It was her husband/bf. He had been sitting in the car waiting on her. He never once lifted a finger to help her put the groceries in the trunk, or help put their in the car, or even putting the cart back, unless you count the disparaging and rude statements he'd shout out the window.

What The Hell?!? Dude, be a MAN and assist her. Show her how much you appreciate being able to tap that hot piece of ass, by assisting her, not by BEING an ass. She's already raising one little boy (who is watching how you treat her mother and getting the impression that this treatment is somehow appropriate???) She doesn't need to raise another larger boy with a disrespectful attitude.

Treating women good is nothing new. Old time stories about true men putting their coats over mud puddles to protect a womans stylish shoes show that respect and appreciation are old school and nothing new.

If you have a wonderful spouse our sig. other, then SHOW them how much you appreciate them, otherwise some guy could walk up to then in a parking lot and make them happier with one statement than you have ever done in a LONG time.
